Creating Windows
Designing, making and fitting new windows
A process which involves:
-
meeting clients to discuss the project,
-
presenting design ideas leading to a finished design.
Once approved, the window can be made:
-
A full-size drawing is produced from which coloured glass is cut,
-
Glass is then painted with the elements of
the design. The painted glass is then
leaded, cemented and the finished
window fitted.
Repair
Repair of existing windows
-
Replacement of individual broken pieces without taking the window out (in-situ repairs),
-
Removal of a window for cleaning and
re-leading.
-
Following a break-in, or significant vandalism,
a whole section may need reconstructing.
-
Victorian glass. Often painted glass window
is damaged and a piece can be removed and a new piece painted to macth the original.
Protective grilles supplied and fitted.
