The window is the first stained glass icon made for an Orthodox Church in the UK.

The icon of The Transfiguration.
The window is made on single sheets of Schott Restover drawn sheet (clear glass) and the colouration is obtained by a combination of silver stain and different shades of glass paint. There is no transparent glass enamel used in the window.
